Although the Planet had been in control of the Planet Trade Organization for years, it had appeared that a good portion of it was still rather unknown. Whether it was simply because the soldiers investigating it had failed to record their findings or because of lack of focus to those areas, Arctic was left with a chunk of the planet with little to no information about it. While the rest of the planet was generally a beautiful shade of blue, this area was rather brown and dirty. It was a barren area that was covered with rock and dust, it had almost appeared that a great battle once took place here that shaped the landscape into what it was now. There had been many cracks and crevices within the ground and this environment had seemed to be quite unique to the planet, it was different that the rest of the regions that Arctic had to explore. Yet, he was here for a singular reason and he had already doubted in his mind the chances of success within the area. He was here because his Dragon Ball Radar had brought him here, guiding him with a little orange blinking light and indicating that he was within the radius of a Dragon Ball. Now, while the Radar could bring him so close it couldn't pinpoint the exact location effortlessly and would leave him to do a little bit of searching for himself. Now this wasn't something he liked to do, but it was something that needed to get done.
Whether or not he found the Dragon Balls quickly really all depended on him, for a majority of his soldiers had been useless and incapable of finding them even with the Radar in hand. Now this was likely due to the Namekian's hiding them well or simply deceiving the soldiers but it wasn't something that Arctic was going to tolerate. He had his methods of cutting through their lies and getting a point in the right direction. He'd do anything required in order to find the Dragon Balls and acquire their power and no namekian would be safe. In this case, it appeared as if he wasn't going to need to punish or slaughter anybody, nor would he have to discuss it with the Namekian villagers. All he had to do here was search and hope that he'd find what he needed to find. With the vast amount of space and the amount of crevices in the area, it was possible that the ball itself would be rather deep in the ground and be within any of them. He didn't know if the Namekian's simply hid it out here or if it was here for another reason but one thing was for certain, he was going to find it. No mater how long it would take him. He needed it, and he needed five more after he accomplished this goal. It was just a matter of time, but he needed to start looking and now.
Arctic would begin flying above the crevices to see if the radar would give him any clearer indication on exactly which area it was going to be in. Though he was familiar with the radar and knew it wouldn't, he couldn't help but try it to reduce the amount of time it was going to take in order to find it. When the Radar didn't improve it's reading or give him any clearer direction, Arctic simply began flying down into the crevices and within his right hand he would hold a sphere of Ki in order to illuminate the way. With the light, he couldn't help but hope that the Dragon Ball would catch a glimpse of the light and reflect it back to him through the darkness but he knew that was unlikely too.
Arctic would spend roughly a half an hour flying through various crevices within the small radius that the ball was and it wasn't before long that he started blasting away small parts of the environment to see if it had been buried. He couldn't see it where it was open so he couldn't help but hope that making a few blasts would shake it loose or cause it to turn up. He was dedicated and on a time frame, the faster he got it and out the better. He wasn't opposed to trying different methods in order to secure it, but he did feel like he'd risk damaging or destroying it so he was very careful with the amount of power he put within every blast. He wanted to be careful, if he shot this whole Namek trip because he was careless he wouldn't be very pleased with himself and he'd halt his efforts greatly and that was something he couldn't afford to do.
After searching the area far and wide for an hour longer, Arctic had finally caught the glint of something in a crevice below. Now from the height he was at he simply couldn't identify what it was from where he was so he immediately dropped down to investigate. Everything in his soul had made him hope that it was a Dragon Ball but he knew that it might've been something else entirely. While he had such high hopes, he was prepared to be let down and have his search continue for even longer. He carefully lowered himself down the crevice, his small size and stature coming in handy as he wasn't hitting the walls nor causing any debris to fall down and block the sparkling item. As he got closer and close the reflection had seemed to fade as the color of the item had gotten much brighter and more apparent. When he got close enough he would reach out both of his arms to grasp it tightly and pull it from it's lodged position. Once he had gripped it, he would fly up towards the sky for the natural light to reveal exactly what the changeling had found.
